Staying up to date on vaccines is one of the easiest ways to protect your health and the health of those around you. Whether you’re due for your annual flu shot, need vaccines for school or work, or are preparing for international travel, Medicap® makes it simple and convenient.
Our pharmacists are trained and certified to administer immunizations right in the pharmacy. We follow CDC recommendations and offer a wide range of vaccines for children, teens, and adults.
Along with healthy habits like proper nutrition, sleep, and hygiene, staying current on recommended vaccines gives your body an important layer of protection. Talk to your Medicap® pharmacist to learn which vaccines are right for you.
- Pneumonia: Recommended for all adults age 50+ and adults age 19–49 with certain health conditions or risk factors.
- Shingles: Recommended that all adults age 50+ receive 2 doses, separated by 2–6 months apart.
- Tetanus (Td/Tdap): Recommended that adults 19+ receive 1 dose every 10 years.
- Hepatitis B: Recommended for all adults age 19–59 who did not receive the vaccine previously. 2, 3, or 4 dose series and adults 60+ with risk factors.
- Hepatitis A: Recommended if need protection against hepatitis A.
- Human Papillomavirus (HPV): Recommended for adults through age 26 depending on child and adolescent vaccination history.
- Measles, Mumps, and Rubella: Recommended that adults with no previous vaccination receive 1 dose.
- Meningococcal: Recommended for adults in special circumstances.
- RSV: Recommended for everyone age 75+ and adults age 50–74 at increased risk of severe RSV based on discussions between the patient and health care provider.
- COVID: Recommended for everyone 65+ and for patients under 65 years with certain health conditions that are high risk of severe COVID. Underlying Conditions and the Higher Risk for Severe COVID-19 | CDC. Patients should verify they haven't received a COVID vaccine within 2 months.
- Flu: Recommended for everyone age 6 months and older, with rare exceptions, receive an updated flu vaccine.
