The City of Nevada was founded in 1853 to be the county seat of Story County. Located 10 miles from Ames, the home of Iowa State University, Nevada is home to almost 7,000 residents. NuCara Pharmacy also serves several surrounding communities including Colo, Collins, State Center, Zearing, and Maxwell. We are located in Nevada’s Downtown Historic District and have been on the National Register of Historic Places by the US Department of the Interior since 2003. Our pharmacy is currently undergoing a major renovation in order to preserve the historic character of our building. Nevada is also home to two clinics, the Story County Medical Center with satellite clinics in Maxwell, Zearing, and Slater, and McFarland Clinic.

The staff of NuCara Pharmacy in Nevada is proud to support our community.
